Project 52 26th installment!
DMZ by Brian Wood and Riccardo Burchielli

DMZ is an American comic book series written by Brian Wood, with artwork by Wood and Riccardo Burchielli (the Italian artist’s first comic book in the United States). The series is set in the near future, where a second civil war has turned the island of Manhattan into a demilitarized zone, caught between forces of the United States of America and secessionist “Free States”.

— From DMZ’s Wikipedia page.
“Today marks the fifth anniversary of the initial outbreak of a hostility between the United States of America and the so-called “Free States” (…)” — From DMZ #1, On the ground
More about DMZ at Brian Wood’s website and at Live from the DMZ.

Project 52 - The 1st leg - The mixtape
Project 52’s first round (or quarter) was based on quotes extracted from songs.
We decided to go ahead a put a little mixtape of them together (Designers.MX is probably responsible for something here). The mixtape itself will follow shortly.
You can follow the steps of the design thanks to this Dribbble tag.

Project 52.24 - Gon by Masashi Tanaka
Project 52 24th installment!
Gon by Masashi Tanaka

Gon is a tiny fictional dinosaur and the title character of a Japanese manga series created by Masashi Tanaka. The Gon series features the completely wordless adventures of the irascible title character as he interacts with the natural world, depicted by Tanaka in lush, realistic detail. Gon somehow survived the extinction of his fellow dinosaurs and interacts with paleolithic animals.
— From Gon’s Wikipedia page.

This installment of Project 52 is a tad particular, as Gon is a silent comic. There will therefore be no quote per say. However, this little guy is so touching and, let’s face it, cute, that I had to use him.
Done.
